The ministry of Justice has organized on Tuesday the 22nd of November 2016, at 10 a.m in the Conference hall, a meeting with the Bar Association and other Lawyers. 

 

The Minister of State, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Laurent Esso welcomes the lawyers.

This meeting was in response to the strike action organized by some Anglophone Lawyers in Bamenda and Buea and an action by the Government to listen to the claims of the strikers in order to propose and resolve their problems. The meeting which ended at 8pm was chaired by the Minister of State, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals who resolved to speak things out and remind the overall rule of the Law in Cameroon.

He was assisted in this task by five (05) members of the Government; the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Ange Angouing, the Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of State Control, Fomundam Rose Ngwari,  the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Justice Jean Pierre Fogui, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Jules Doret Ndongo, and the Secretary of State to the Minister of Justice in charge of Penitentiary Administration Doh Jerome Penbaga. After 9 hours of fastidious deliberations and exchanges with the Lawyers and the Bar Association, the Keeper of the Seals delivered a communication to the medias organs in order to clarify the position of the Government on the issue gathering them.
